Director of Enrichment Curriculum

Meredith Guthrie graduated from University of Texas at Dallas earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in speech pathology and audiology. She has also completed practicums in speech pathology and reading instruction and intervention. Meredith has taught children of all ages for 12 years, from instructing early readers to preparing students for SAT and ACT testing. Meredith uses her skills and experience to take students to the next level. She has a particular passion for working with young children and helping them establish a strong foundation and to achieve their full potential. Meredith has been instrumental in establishing The Guthrie School. She has experience teaching Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, First grade, Third grade, Fourth grade, and Fifth grade. She has specific training in language-development, Singapore mathematics, scaffolding, and curriculum instruction. Additionally, Meredith has played an integral role in helping grow Guthrie Gifted Education to what it is today, Guthrie Enrichment. Not only does Meredith teach a variety of Enrichment classes, but also she is responsible for managing the business aspects, including curriculum, admissions and personnel. Meredith has lived in Plano for 24 years.



Kenzy Miller: Ms. Miller graduated from Azusa Pacific University in California with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education. She has worked in education for four years with a variety of age groups. Her passion is to inspire those around her and to enrich young minds. In 2017, Kenzy moved to Plano with her Fiancé, Jonathan and her cat, Baby. While the majority of her family lives in California, Plano has become her home. Last year she had the privilege of assisting Mary Bridgman with her Kindergarten class. This will be Kenzy’s second year at Guthrie and fourth year teaching. In her off-time, Kenzy enjoys spending time with Jonathan and Baby as well as being outdoors and learning new skills. Kenzy is thrilled to be working with such a wonderful team and to be a part of this school year.

Kindergarten &  First Grade
Literacy and Math Specialist

Liz Ludewig: Mrs. Ludewig comes to The Guthrie School with 25 years of Elementary School experience including 15 years of teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. Her private school experience in Dallas includes working at Parish Episcopal School teaching in both the Lower and Middle School Divisions. Liz’s credentials include a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Elementary Childhood Education. In addition, she has written and published several children’s Language Arts workbooks.



First Grade

Patricia Olivares earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Elementary Education and a concentration in math from the University of Minnesota in 1986 and her Masters of Education degree as a Reading Instructional Specialist from the University of Texas El Paso in 1995.  She spent 29 years teaching grades 1-3 for Socorro ISD in El Paso where she was twice selected Teacher of the Year.  Patricia enjoyed getting to know her students and their families, and discovering the special gifts each child possessed.  In 2015, she and Jesse, her husband of 33 years, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for his job.  There Patricia worked with young children with developmental delays in Early Intervention provided by the Foundation for Positively Kids.  She felt helping these children reach their developmental milestones was incredibly rewarding.  In May 2018, Jesse accepted a job in Frisco so they could be closer to their two daughters, Lauren and Jessica, who are also both teachers, and their son-in-law Josh.  Patricia loves to travel with her family, scrapbook, cheer on the Minnesota Twins, and spoil her two small dogs, Sophia and Berkley.


Second Grade

Jennifer Menniti graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Education with a Special Education focus. She holds a Professional Educator Certification for grades 1-6. Mrs. Menniti taught for 15 years in Connecticut as a math intervention teacher, as well as a third grade teacher, and second grade teacher for the past 11 years. She has been trained as a TEAM mentor, working with and supporting new teachers as they navigate the waters as educators. Mrs. Menniti has also been a complimentary evaluator in her school. This training provided her with the opportunity to inform her practice as a highly effective teacher. Mrs. Menniti and her family moved to Allen in June. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, as well as being outdoors, reading and cooking. Mrs. Menniti is excited to be a member of the faculty at Guthrie School.
