Cory Balch

Mr. Balch graduated from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Following graduation, Mr. Balch began his teaching career which spans more than 20 years in both public and private schools. Mr. Balch serves as the Director of Extend, The Guthrie School’s after school program and as a member of the Administrative team in the finance department.  Mr. Balch believes in interacting and connecting with each student, parent, and staff member in a positive and meaningful way.

Mr. Balch has two sons, with whom he spends as much time as possible. He enjoys taking them to soccer games, as well as Marvel and Star Wars movies.  Mr. Balch plays soccer and has recently taken up skateboarding again after 25 years. Mr. Balch lives by the rule you are “only as old as you act.”
