Ms. Guthrie graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology. She has also completed practicums in speech pathology and reading instruction and intervention.
Ms. Guthrie has taught children of all ages for more than 12 years, from instructing early readers to preparing students for SAT and ACT testing. Meredith loves using her skills and experience to take students to the next level. She has a passion for working with young children and helping them establish a strong foundation and to achieve their full potential.
Ms. Guthrie has been instrumental in establishing The Guthrie School. She has experience teaching Early Childhood through 5th Grade with specific training in language-development, Singapore mathematics, Scaffolding, and curriculum instruction. Additionally, Ms. Guthrie has played an integral role in helping grow Guthrie Gifted Education into today’s Guthrie Enrichment, where she teaches as well as manages the business aspects including curriculum, admissions, and personnel.
Ms. Guthrie has been a resident of Plano for 24 years.
