Mandy Paxton

Mrs. Mandy Paxton graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and holds a Texas Teaching certificate for first through eighth grade. She has worked in education for twelve years and has taught first, third, fourth, and fifth grade in all subject areas in both public and private school settings. Mrs. Paxton’s joy in teaching comes from the excitement as her students’ faces light up when they grasp or learn a new concept, as the building blocks of learning come together.

Mrs. Paxton and her family lived in Dallas for 19 years prior to coming to Lucas, Texas. She has two grown sons – her oldest is back in Dallas working after college, and her youngest will graduate from college in the spring of 2026. Her family enjoys watching movies, spending time on the lake in their boat in the summer, and skiing every winter. She is excited to return to The Guthrie School team and looks forward to the opportunity to challenge, grow, and expand the minds of her third graders.
